Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft Co., Ltd. (German: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft, abbreviated as BMW AG or BMW, also known as BMW in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao) is a German multinational luxury car, motorcycle and engine manufacturer headquartered in Bavaria, Germany State of Munich. In addition to selling various cars and motorcycles under the "BMW" brand trademark, the group has also acquired a number of foreign automobile companies. Currently, the BMW Group is the owner of three brands: BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce. In 2021, the BMW Group delivered a total of 2,521,514 vehicles globally, of which new energy vehicles accounted for 13% and reached 328,314 vehicles. BMW is often ranked among Germany's top three luxury car manufacturers, along with Audi and Mercedes-Benz. [3][4] The design of its logo is based on the emblem of the German state of Bavaria. [5]
